Is Your Business Struggling for Clients?

Are you feeling the pinch of the economic downturn at the moment? Now is a great time to focus on what you do best and to get that message across to your potential clientele.

Marketing and promotion for allied health and wellness centres is crucial for attracting clients and growing your business. Even if you don’t have a huge budget, there are activities you can undertake that will help build awareness (and ultimately new clients) within your local area.

Here are just a few ideas that might be useful for you to try in your business:

  • Identify Your Target Audience: Understand who your ideal clients are. Are you targeting athletes, seniors, families or individuals with specific health conditions? Tailor your marketing efforts accordingly.
  • Build an Online Presence: Develop a professional website that highlights your services, team members and testimonials. Consider adding a blog section to provide valuable health tips and information. There are many services out there that can help with writing if this isn’t your forte (and yes this includes AI platforms).
  • Utilise social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn to engage with potential clients and share relevant content.
  • Local SEO: Optimize your website for local search engine optimization (SEO) to ensure that your centre appears in search results when people in your area are looking for allied health services. This includes listing on Google My Business and other online directories.
  • Offer Educational Workshops and Events: Host workshops, seminars or webinars on relevant health topics. This positions you as a knowledgeable resource in the community and helps to attract potential clients.
  • Partnerships and Referral Programs: Build relationships with local physicians, gyms, spas and other complementary businesses. Establish referral programs to encourage them to send clients your way.
  • Create Compelling Content: Develop informative and visually appealing content such as videos, infographics and eBooks that showcase your expertise and provide value to your audience. Share this content on your website and social media channels to engage with your audience.
  • Encourage Client Reviews and Testimonials: Positive reviews and testimonials can significantly impact the decision-making process of potential clients. Encourage satisfied clients to leave reviews on platforms like Google and Facebook.
  • Offer Special Promotions and Packages: Create promotional offers or discounted packages for new clients or for specific services. Limited-time promotions can create a sense of urgency and encourage people to take action.
  • Network in the Community: Attend local health fairs, school and community events, sporting activities and networking meetings to promote your services and build connections with potential clients and referral sources.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Delivering exceptional customer service is key to retaining clients and generating positive word-of-mouth referrals. Ensure that your staff is well-trained and focused on providing a positive experience for every client.
  • Utilise Email Marketing: Build an email list of current and prospective clients and send regular newsletters or updates about your services, promotions, and upcoming events.
  • Track and Measure Results: Monitor the effectiveness of your marketing efforts by tracking key performance indicators such as website traffic, conversion rates, and client acquisition costs. Use this data to refine your strategies and focus on tactics that deliver the best results.

And remember not to compare yourself or try and compete with other local businesses who are similar. Focus on your own strengths and remain positive. If you need more support, please reach out to MAA as we can provide further direction on resources if needed.
