What is Life Membership?

Life Membership is an honour awarded to recognise outstanding service and commitment to the Massage Association of Australia.

Life Membership is conferred annually and may be appointed by the Board of Directors when the relevant criteria are met.

Who may be nominated?

A person may be considered for Life Membership if they have:

  • been a Director of the Company for at least five years; and/or
  • been an Ordinary Member of the Company for at least seven years; or
  • made a significant contribution to the Association or to the occupation of massage therapy or myotherapy.

Life Members can be practising or non-practising.

How to nominate

Nominations for Life Membership are welcomed from members.

Provide the member's name and member number if known.

Explain why they should be a candidate for Life Membership.

Provide supporting evidence of their contribution.

Nominations and assessment

Nominations will be vetted against the Life Membership criteria. Members that do not meet the eligibility status may have their nomination held over or will be asked to nominate again.
