Policies, Directives & Statements:
Policies, Directives, and Statements outline the rationale behind the MAA’s actions and decisions. They provide the strategic and operational guidance that ensures consistency across all areas of the association’s work. Policies set the overarching intent and principles, Directives translate that intent into specific instructions, and Statements communicate the MAA’s official position on particular issues or topics. Together, they explain why certain procedures and actions are necessary and support alignment with the association’s mission and goals. When a document is prefixed with Administrative, it applies specifically to office operations and administrative staff requirements
